Memories crumpled up and torn to be thrown away and disposed of. I'm admiring the dark orange and yellow tones you've given and I find it very significant in demonstrating the past. You made the image seem more like paper and I truly find in many ways, the border helps give that certain paper effect. I'm simply in love with these effects and it shows you've worked on this piece.
This was, for the most part, the thought I was going for...because are not all photos merely memories stamped on paper? All save for the digital ones that is...those are, in some sense, immortal. Where paper will wither, these will be stored away on some old disk for years to come.
However, this photo was taken in the same place as the previous, only at the other end of the fence. In a way, they are opposites: one preserved in all its natural lustre and the other disintigrating on forgotten paper.
This piece itself wasn't necessarily that difficult to create, it was more of a problem of somehow finding a way to make it say what I wanted it to. Quite frankly, when I started with it I had no idea what I was going to do, which is often how it is with my work...a rather bad habit, if I do say so myself. Though your liking for it is much appreciated.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
